Gold Creek Private Ranch is located just a stone’s throw from the historic Eerstelling Gold Mine—the first commercial gold mining site in South Africa, established in 1873. At the entrance to the ranch stands the original Post Office, built in 1887, still standing as a proud reminder of the area’s rich heritage. Our ranch is crisscrossed with quartz veins rich in gold, winding through the lush bushveld landscape—an origin that inspired our name. Even today, prospectors continue to visit Gold Creek to pan for gold, drawn by the land’s enduring promise.
The ranch is located in the Limpopo Province and just a 20-minute drive from Polokwane, and a 3-hour drive from Johannesburg.
Gold Creek Private Ranch is perfect for family gatherings, small conferences and for enjoying the bushveld and all its spenders. Our ranch has more than 10 different antelope species, leopards, giraffes and zebra. Our destination is also ideal for bird watching and hikes along the creek.
Accommodation
Gold Creek Private Ranch has 3 chalets at the Lodge and a private bush camp that sleeps 25 people.
Game Drives/Walks
We offer guided Game Drives & Walks for all our guests. Kindly book in advance. Groups of 5 - 9 people.
Bush Weddings
Gold Creek Private Ranch offers 3 unique venues ideal for small weddings. Ceremonies will take place at the private bush camp.
Functions & Conferences
We offer a variety of event options at our private bush camp. Tranquil surroundings makes this the ideal area.
School Outings & Camps
Our private bush camp makes it ideal for small groups to enjoy their adventure in the bushveld. Guided walks/drives can be arranged.
